Some larger appliances (White Goods) may be excluded from TNT delivery and only available for delivery in the Sussex area via our own fleet of vans. See individual product pages for details. 

Installation services are only available in the Sussex area. When products will be delivered and installed by our own fleet of vans and installers.
If a product being delivered in the Sussex area is ‘delivery only’ then it may be delivered by us or TNT at our discretion.

Installation Terms and Conditions (Sussex area only)

(These apply to deliveries and installs made by Hills own vans and installers.)

General

We will endeavour to deliver at the agreed time but all dates and times are approximate and cannot be guaranteed.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that:  There is reasonable access to the property for safe and prompt delivery and providing any necessary parking permits/parking charges.  All access ways on the property are large enough and free of obstructions.

The item/s will fit and all the necessary services are available and functional. Any vulnerable floor surfaces are protected against the moving of heavy items.  You may be charged if you fail to meet these conditions and we are forced to return at a later date to finish the delivery/installation.  If it is not physically possible to reasonably, safely and promptly deliver the goods or they do not fit the intended site, we will not accept this as a reason for returning the goods. Any returns, if accepted, will be subject to a restocking fee.

The customer must inspect the goods at the point of delivery and any damage/shortages reported immediately to the driver and shop.

Your invoice will show the level of delivery and installation service you have purchased.

Delivery only: is boxed to the door. (Goods will NOT be unboxed or any packaging removed)

COD deliveries:  All monies owing must be paid (cleared funds) before delivery is made either to the shop or delivery staff.

Extended Warranties: If your product has a Manufacturers extended warranty that has to be registered by the Customer, this must be done in accordance with the manufacturers terms and conditions otherwise you may lose the extended warranty.

Internet price match sales:  These are delivery only and have specific terms and conditions. All after sales callouts to solve installation or other operation issues will be chargeable.  In the unfortunate event of a fault you will be directed to the manufacturer’s service agent.  Contact shop for further details.  This does not affect your statutory rights.


Domestic Appliances

Basic Installation  (freestanding washing machines, dishwashers, fridges/freezers(not side by side), tumble dryers.  Contact shop for charges)
We will deliver unbox and remove packaging. Remove old appliance if safe to do so. (We will not use mechanical force to operate taps that are designed for hand operation) Connect appliance to existing mains socket, waste pipe, and water supply taps as required.  These must be in good order, fully functional, accessible and within reach of the appliance. Level appliance and test where appropriate.

Basic Installation for Built in appliances, Electric Cookers, and Side by Side fridge/freezers (Contact shop for charges)
In addition to the basic install we will:  Install built in appliances into your existing cabinets.  Connect electric cookers to an existing power cable.  Dismantle Side by Side fridge/freezers, if required, to enable access into the property.

Gas appliances: Installation requires the services of a Gas Safe engineer. Contact shop for details.

What’s Not covered  ( You will be charged extra for the following or in the case of defects/alterations to fixed plumbing, gas or electrics you will need the services of a plumber/gas safe engineer/electrician)
Dismantling the product to get it into the property (except side by side fridge/freezers which are covered).  Reversing appliance doors.  Removing and re-hanging household doors and clearing obstructions.  The use of more than two delivery staff to facilitate delivery.  Alterations to cabinets/doors and fixtures and fittings to fit freestanding or built in appliance.  Repairs and alterations to fixed plumbing, gas or electrics.  Removal of plug for connection to fused spur. Extending mains lead or fitting trailing socket. Extending supply or waste hoses. Capping off unused hot supply. Disconnection or reconnection of gas appliances. Fitting cooker cable to wall outlet (We will only connect cooker to existing cable).


Home Entertainment (Televisions, Bluray/DVD players/recorders, Freeview/Satellite boxes, Home Theatre etc)

Basic Installation (See product pages or contact shop for charges)
We will deliver unbox and remove packaging (if required).  Install to existing stand/cabinet and connect to existing equipment feeds, mains socket and aerial/satellite feeds, which must be within reach and in working order. Set up and demonstrate operation.  Remove old equipment.

What’s Not covered  (You will be charged extra for these services)
Supply of additional cables/connectors and accessories that may be required and are not supplied with the equipment or listed separately on your invoice.  Building stands or cabinets etc. Wall mounting equipment. Fitting trunking or fixing cables.  Installing/reinstalling customers existing equipment.  Connecting to wired/wireless computer networks. The sending of a second installer just to assist in the removal of heavy scrap equipment.   Repairs or alterations to fixed electrics or aerial/satellite feeds/systems.

Full installation (Contact Shop for charges)
In addition to the Basic Install we will:  Build your new stand/cabinet that we have supplied. Install your new and existing equipment into the stand/cabinet. Reconnect any existing Home Theatre speakers but not install said speakers or rerun cables.  Connect to wired/wireless networks if available (Please make sure you have any wireless network access keys to hand.  We cannot guarantee that wireless connections will work satisfactorily; you may need to use a cable or mains borne adaptors.  The availability of internet services will be dependent on the speed and continuity of your internet connection). Tidy cables, set up and demonstrate equipment.

Wall Mounting (Contact Shop for charges)

Basic wall mount Install (All flat wall mounts and small articulated up to 26” TV)
In addition to Basic Install we will fix bracket, that we have supplied on this sale, to suitable wall and mount TV on bracket.   (Wall must be sound and suitable for mounting on; we do not carry out any remedial repairs or building work to facilitate the install.  For these services see our Full Wall mount Service.  Please remember you may need to purchase longer cables etc to reach a wall mount location).

Full wall mount installations (Contact shop for site survey and quotation)
We can supply a full wall mount service including large articulated brackets, hiding cables, wall chasing, trunking etc.
These installs are subject to a site survey and quotation.
